At Copol, innovation drives everything we do. Our R&D efforts focus on solving customer challenges and exploring the future of flexible packaging—especially in niche and sustainable applications.
To support rapid development and testing, we've invested in a dedicated 3-layer Cast Pilot Line, allowing us to trial new film structures in-house with speed and flexibility.
We also collaborate with the Verschuren Centre, one of Canada's leading bio-polymer research institutions, where we have access to a bench-top extruder for advanced material experimentation.
Our in-house capabilities include a lab-scale thermoformer, used to form polymer sheets into prototype trays and cups—helping us evaluate new materials for rigid packaging formats.
Recent successes include the development of a
, offering a complete compostable packaging solution. Currently, we are working on a high oxygen transmission rate (OTR) PP film designed for seafood packaging.
We’re always open to collaboration. If you have a packaging challenge or a bold idea, we’d love to explore it with you.
